  • “Great Place”
This is my third visit to Istanbul. Taksim Square is a must see place, you will never get bored in this place, so many things to do, and so many street bands to enjoy. Not to mention shopping. In summer they have the best watermelons, and in winter they have corn and chestnuts. This time we enjoyed pineapples too, so cool.

  • “Lively Area”
This is a very vibrant area, full of live, you can find there rastaurants, cafes, bars, clothes and shoes shops. Some people spend all their visit in Istanbul in that area :))

  • “Shopping Street”
Take you friends and family and go on a shopping spree, this is the street for you. You will also have many delicious turkish food to fuel your walks from one to the other shop.

  • “Enjoy whatever in your mind over there in Istiklal Street”
The street is full of all famous shopping brands. Resturants and cafe's are all over the places. At the far end of the street is the art and music shops. On the other end is Taksim Square

  • “Istiklal Street is the best place for shopping”
This street is busy both day and night. At the moment there is a lot of security. Police with machine guns, police passing etc. It is always full of people and the shops stay open late at night. Also good restaurants and a pleasant street to walk in the evening.

  • “New Year at Istiklal Street”
On new year night we the family of four gathered at Taxim square and started our full of fun jam packed stroll of lively Istiklal street. Thousands of youngsters were moving in both directions dancing and whistling in joyfull moods. Too much rush was the only con if one doesn't likes heavily crowded places other wise it's a fun night at Istiklal street. Most of the shops were open till 2:00am however clubs were open all night. I returned to my hotel around 2:00am and lots of taxis were available there.

  • “Don't Miss Istiklal Street”
Apart from historic places, Istanbul is a shopping destination for many. I highly recommend that at least half a day is spent here. Its a long road with many shops and beautiful buildings to view along the way. Tram rail was under repair when we were here in December. Will definitely revisit this place again.

  • “Istiklal Street is one of the great streets in Istanbul, European Side”
Strolling, browsing, just walking... this is the street to be. It is one of the most famous streets at the European side of Istanbul, it can be very crowded but you get an idea of the city as a vibrant place!

  • “One of the Most Comfortable Hotel in Istanbul”
I had 17 trips to Istanbul and I choose Grand Esen Hotel for 9 times, cause it is very clean and comfortable and all of the staff are to kind, frindly and polit, they have a very nice place to serve the breakfast with an stunning view of the Bosphorus that was always makes more relax during I was taking my meal. Try it once , trust me, you never be regret.

  • “Fun Relaxing Trip”
Taksim square is a melting pot of old turkey and new turkey U get to see the antique old shops on one side and latest boutiques on the other. Fabrestaurants ranging from typical turkish cuisine to fast food of now. Funplace to spend the day

  • “A Symbolic Square”
This square is very wide. There are many restaurants and shops around it. There is a four side statue collections in the center of taksim. One of these collection showed Ataturk and Reza Shah Pahlavi together, it was very epic and interesting for me. Also seeing many pigeons flying and landing around the square was lovely.

  • “Big square full of life days and nights speacially weekends”
Taksim area is one of the most beautiful area in Istanbul and it is considered as a must to be there when u visit Istanbul . full of life days and nights . during the day shopping everywhere and full of crowded but during the nights , café , restaurants , pubs r full of people and some of them have music bands and shows . also there r some cinema halls there

  • “Amazing Blue Mosque”

It’s a beautiful mosque with a structure and design so unique and elegant. Which I have never seen before in any mosque or literally anywhere. It was also first the royal mosque for the kings of Istanbul. There is a separate space for men and women and outside the mosque there is an open garden so fresh and overwhelminggg. There is security outside the mosque to respect everyone and keep people secure and there are also a couple spare scarfs or shawls to wear inside the mosque in case you forgot yours. The people are so friendly so don’t worry! Hope this review helped you!

  • “One of the best mosques in the world”

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful mosques in the world, and is spectacular and grand. Must visit for all tourists.

  • “Iznik blue to rival the blue glass of Chartres Cathedral windows”

This mosque is the culmination of two centuries of both Ottoman mosque and Byzantine church development and is considered to be the last great mosque of the classical period. It faces the Hagia Sophia. The architect has synthesized the ideas of Sinan, aiming for overwhelming size, majesty and splendor. The tiles have dulled over the centuries and ruined ones have not been replaced with the now very expensive Iznik tiles. The tiles are painted with 50 types of tulips, flowers whose shape is reminiscent of the overall shape of the Arabic word for God, Allah. The rose symbolizes the the Prophet Mohammed and that is another favorite to paint on tiles. Human images are forbidden in a mosque but flowers are a reminder of the Garden of Eden and of the rebirth of the faithful in Paradise. The Blue Mosque is definitely a 'must see' in Istanbul.

  • “Dolmabahce Palace”

A set back in time when life for the Sultans was truly grand and luxurious. The grounds, with views of the Bosphorus at every turn, are peaceful and rejuvenating. The Palace and grounds takes quite a few hours to explore so if you need a rest there is a nice little cafe with views of the water, great place to stop and have a tea or a beer and watch the constant traffic on the Bosphorus. The main ballroom in the Palace is overwhelming with it's enormous chandelier and gold ++++.

  • “City View from Galata Tower”

It's a good place to see around whole city with a restaurant upstairs. What I don't like is the price, bit pricy for that,no control of how many people there,it was crowded and worst for me is that it is allowed to smoke!

  • “Memorable Moments at Galata Tower”

The tower looks great ! The view of Istanbul from above is magnificient !! Couldn't stop taking photos with every new scene!! Eventhough the walkway in the balcony is so narrow , visitors don't mind that and enjoy the walk around a couple of times! Make sure you read the maps opposite the scenes to learn more about Istanbul. The coffee shop serves nice food and drinks. There's also a 4D helicopter simulation in the tower that takes you around Istanbul and shows you inside the historical landmarks, which we enjoyed .Galata is one memorable experience !!

  • “Great Place to See”

This is my third review for Galata Tower, it is so beautiful and in cold weather, seagulls will glide at the top and they look so beautiful, don't miss the coffee shop near the tower, they have the best Turkish coffee and tea, not to mention the sweets.

  • “Rapunsel Tower :D”

It was my first visit to Turkey ever. Since we had a trip to Italy and took Turkish airline, we decided to have 11-hour transit and had a short visit around Istanbul. The first place we visited is Galata Tower (quite far from the airport). Since we landed at 6 AM so we have plenty of time to reach the tower, and no long queue. For an expat, they charge 25 lyra (while 5 for local). The elevator is quite small and only one. Once we got out from the elevator, we have to take the round anchient stairs :) and passed a coffee shop to get out to the outer area. Finally, the view is awesome! We could see both Asian and European part from the top.

  • “Lowely old tower”

Istanbul should be seen from the top of the Galata Tower. But everything is not watching Istanbul. Galata has a strange history that you can read on the inner wall of the tower. Galata closes at 9pm. I propose to watch Istanbul from the top of Galata at night.

  • “Breathtaking Blue Mosque”

The Blue Mosque is one of the most beautiful structures in Istanbul. It can be seen for far and inside is breathtaking! When you enter you feel so small. It is still used for prayer and it's an amazing opportunity to savor another culture and religion with the respect it deserves. Beautiful!

Some photos about our hotel, Istanbul and main touristic attractions.
